A beginner's guide to what to look for

 

Introduction

There are many ways in which you might have made an archaeological find. Perhaps you picked up something while you were out walking or digging the garden. Perhaps you've uncovered something while doing house repairs. Perhaps you've been involved with a school history or archaeology project and want to make the best of your discoveries.

 

If that's the case, then this Beginner's Guide is for you. It will give you some basic ideas of what features to look for to help identify your finds. It's not a comprehensive finds catalogue.
