The Gala Sheets listed below were written by Dave Weldrake, Education and Outreach Coordinator for the West Yorkshire Archaeology Advisory Service. They describe briefly what is known about the origins of some of the towns in West Yorkshire and were distributed free to members of the public visiting the West Yorkshire Joint Services Roadshow, which attended various galas held around West Yorkshire during 2001.
