Introduction

Everyone would like an expert in the classroom. It makes it so much easier to give an in-depth view of a subject. Sadly this is not always possible. Sometimes you just have to present the information yourself. Maybe you could get some one to role play an archaeologist or, like a student I saw recently, you could explain how archaeology works by using a puppet archaeologist. So to help you bluff your way through, here are some questions which children frequently ask about archaeology together with some tips on how to answer them. I've also given some suggestions for activities which will help you get the message over.
