Unit 2: How did medieval Monarchs keep control?

Various aspects of Anglo-Saxon life in the region are discussed in the presentation Britons, Anglo-Saxons and Vikings in West Yorkshire. This includes a section on the impact of the Norman Conquest.

Unit 4: How did the medieval church affect people's lives?

There is a list of the monasteries and nunneries in West Yorkshire given in the section on Religious Reforms in our Tudors in West Yorkshire presentation.

Unit 5 Elizabeth I: How successfully did she tackle the problems of her reign?

The Tudors in West Yorkshire contains many useful illustrations of life in the region in Tudor times. Religious Reforms outlines the principal effects of Henry VIII's closure of the monasteries in the region and Tudor Churches looks at how church buildings change in the 16th century.

Unit 11 Industrial changes: Action and reaction
